Google Play.
DSTRA — Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026. DSTRA is an app for running maintenance workshops. This policy explains what the app collects, why, where it is kept and how it is deleted.
Your account: a workshop manager signs in with Google, or with an email address and a password. Firebase Authentication holds the email, and the name when it is a Google account. The password is kept only by Firebase Authentication, as a one-way hash nobody can read; it never reaches our data or our server. We copy into our data only the name the manager types. A technician joins by scanning a QR code, with an anonymous sign-in that needs no email.
What the workshop enters: its team members' names and phone numbers; its customers' data — name, phone, address, notes, devices, jobs and debts; and its work, parts, prices and money records: shares, pay, wallets, withdrawals and expenses. The workshop is responsible for telling its customers that their data is kept in the app.
Location: taken once, only when a technician taps «I have arrived», and saved as the customer's address location. The app tracks nobody and never reads the location in the background.
Camera and photos: the camera takes photos of devices, warranties, receipts and parts, and scans QR codes and serial numbers. Scanning happens on the phone and its picture is not sent. Photos you take are compressed and uploaded to the workshop's Firebase Storage.
Smart diagnosis: when a technician asks for it, our server sends to OpenRouter, which passes it to Anthropic's Claude model: up to two photos, the category, brand, fault code and the symptoms typed, and up to five of the workshop's approved fix notes. The customer's name, phone and location are never sent.
The shared fix archive: if the workshop allows it, an approved fix note is copied to an archive shared between workshops with four fields only: brand, fault code, category and text — no name and no number.
Notifications and your device: we keep your phone's notification token to send you notifications, and delete it when you sign out. Firebase App Check uses Play Integrity to confirm a request comes from the genuine app. Subscriptions are bought through Google Play and verified on our server.
Where it is kept: in Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage and Cloud Functions) in the europe-west3 region (Frankfurt), and every connection is encrypted. No ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, and we sell no data to anyone.
Permissions: internet, camera, precise and approximate location (on «I have arrived» only), notifications, rescheduling reminders after the phone restarts, and Google Play billing.
Deletion: a member deletes their account from More, then Delete my account: their sign-in, devices and phone number are deleted and they leave the workshop; their money records stay under their name, because they are the workshop's books. The workshop's owner deletes the whole company from Setup, then Delete the company: all its data, photos, members' accounts and their own account, with its email and password, are deleted. Before deleting, they confirm it is them with their password or the same Google account. Deletion can also be requested from the developer, including for an account that was made but never opened a company.
Contact: email teaa.saeed@gmail.com, WhatsApp +964 770 880 0503. The app is not directed to children. If this policy changes, the date at its top changes.
